Hi Everyone
I am very excited to use the iPad and look forward to using it in the pilot program to enhance the nursing clinicals, simulation, theory, and to introduce nursing to the freshman nursing students thru the iPad. I also want to try the Prezi presentations on the iPad along with more research. Oh and my favorite color is blue. I am excited to be exploring this with all of you.

Hi All,
I’m looking forward to getting creative with the iPad in the classroom! What that will look like only time will tell.

OK, I will admit it. I was spoiled by the nice weather and want to see the sun again!

Janet’s Introduction
I’m looking forward to seeing all the different ways people experience and use the iPad. My favorite thing so far is reading books on it and I just finished “Heaven is for Real” by Todd Burpo. The Today show just did a feature story on their family this week. Check it out athttp://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/42191453/ns/today-today_people/ if you’re interested. It’s an incredible non-fiction story.
I have also found some uses for my 19 year old autistic son on the iPad. A keyboard and mouse were too abstract for him to make use of, but he has done well with the touch screen in a very short period of time. I’m excited for the possibilities!

Theresa’s Introduction
Hi, everyone! If you don’t know me, this is my 4th year in the Education Department. I teach Children’s Literature, two middle school endorsement courses, and several of the methods courses for elementary education majors. I also supervise student teachers and practicum students. In addition, I just started working on my doctorate at USD in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Technology in Education.
I am very excited to be given the opportunity to participate in this pilot program. I have reserved the ipad from the BCU library a couple times. My husband saw how much I enjoyed it and gave me an ipod touch for Christmas. The day after Christmas, I downloaded 80 apps!!!!
I am by no means a pro, but I am willing to learn all I can.

Hello from Deb
Hello from Deb Robertson, way over in the library. My favorite color is green. My iPad is black with a black cover, hmmmm. I joined this group so I could learn what you learn and what you are trying to do. Then, maybe, if I am lucky, I might be able to help your students next fall 🙂
See you soon,
